Yes it’s that time of year again and we are pleased to announce that Columbia Road is hosting ‘Christmas Wednesdays’ to help make your Christmas shopping a hassle free, joyful experience. The street really does look beautiful at this time of the year, the shop keepers make a huge effort with their window displays, and when the light falls we switch on a huge garland of fairy lights which run the length of the street….magical! There’s free entertainment, mulled wine and mince pies in plentiful supply. For more information on Columbia Road please click the following link www.columbiaroad.info
P.S. James Brown designed this years artwork and I have to say it’s the best we’ve had yet, thanks James.

Such a glorious November morning, it started as soon as we opened the blinds to find that Jack Frost had done his magic over Haggerston Park. Our walk to school was made extra special by the amazing light which made the park so beautiful.

Those of you who are familiar with the blog will be aware of my recent fascination with negative space. After buying the Ladybird Book of Garden Birds at Spitalfields Antique Market I began the labour intensive task of cutting out the birds. As I pinned what was left behind on my studio wall I discovered the missing birds created a rather nice effect. My idea was switched and the result is this large scale digital print in an edition of 20. Size and price available here.

James Brown turns out to be a fan of Crosby, Stills and Nash which is why he was inspired to illustrate these delightful lyrics. ‘Woodstock’ was originally penned by the magnificent Joni Mitchell whom I’m a fan of. I’m also a fan of this print which is now available in this new colourway here. I got a little distracted whilst thinking of Woodstock and found myself trawling through Google Images, this is one of my favourites.
