I love trawling around the antique markets and especially so today as I stumbled upon on this great fashion find. I think it is a fashion students portfolio from the late 60′s early 70′s. It’s full of fantastic illustrations just like these, all hand drawn in pen and ink and painted in gouache. They have amazing descriptions in letraset too. I am going to window mount them and sell them in Elphick’s real soon but until then you can enjoy them online.
I so love these Victorian Birthday greetings cards, I have never seen anything like them before. I love the font and it’s amazing to think this is how ladies used to dress a hundred years ago. The original collages must have been stunning. I’m sure I will be posting a few of these…..

I found these amazing Art Deco French wallpaper samples at an antique market recently. I am cutting them up to produce still life flower arrangements. You can see one that I have already completed further on in the blog under the heading ‘Fleur’. I will be releasing them as limited edition prints. I will post the new ones just as soon as they are finished.
