Lenna (David’s daughter) has been sending me some snaps of David Weidman’s serigraphs so that I can get an idea of the different colour ways available. I have just placed a new order, the last batch sold out really quickly and as before these are all original screen prints from the 60’s and 70’s. Commercially she is probably best known for the sleeve artwork she created for The ‘Chemical Brothers’ but her career has also seen her collaborating with ‘The Magic Numbers’, ‘Simian’, ‘Sonny J’ and fashion brands ‘Dries Van Noten’, ‘Levis’ and ‘Adidas’ to name but a few.
Her love of colour, pattern and the happy accidents that occur in the printing process are what makes her work so inspirational and individual.
Having admired her work for some time it’s great to have her on board. These prints are a ‘must see’ and are already going down a storm here at Elphick’s.
‘Love’ is available in these two colour ways, in very limited quantities, at an extremely affordable £130 unframed, £200 framed. Print measures 50cm x 70cm.
